I studied Graphic Design at Salisbury College of

Art and Design in the 80's. I worked in various Design studios learning the ropes before working for myself for many years in Design and Print. My work always had an illustrative feel which continues to show through in my art.

My images are created using loose line work with various mediums; charcoal, watercolour, inks and oil pastels. I try and capture the naturalness of the subject whether figurative or abstract and working with charcoal and oil pastels captures that.

I love experimenting and trying new things especially after visiting an art gallery...there is nothing more inspiring. I think my dream at the moment would be to have a piece of work accepted for the Summer Exhibition at the RA.

I also recently tried my hand at print making again (something I haven't done since my college days!). After attending a couple of courses at Red Hot Press in Southampton I fell back in love with it...so watch this space! I just need that small piece of equipment called a printing press!
